Behtaz Chemical Laboratory, as one of the organization’s specialized technical support units, plays a key role in quality control of raw materials, intermediate products, and final manufactured products. Equipped with advanced instrumentation and staffed by experienced specialists, the laboratory performs all required tests in accordance with internationally recognized standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing a wide range of physical, chemical, and technical tests on hydrocarbon samples

  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production processes

  • Providing specialized reports to engineering, operations, and quality management departments

  • Assessing product compliance with ISO, ASTM, IP, and other recognized standards

  • Contributing to process optimization and reduction of operational instabilities

  • Supervising laboratory equipment performance and ensuring the accuracy of results

Testing and Analytical Capabilities:

The laboratory conducts all tests related to gas condensates, petroleum products, and fuels (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, etc.).

Testing of industrial oils and lubricants includes:

  • Density measurement

  • Flash point (open cup method)

  • Flash point (closed cup method)

  • Atmospheric and vacuum distillation

  • Cloud point

  • Pour point

  • Copper strip corrosion

  • Total sulfur content

  • Chlorine content

  • Water determination by Karl Fischer method

  • Octane number measurement by infrared method

  • Octane measurement using Zeltex analyzer

  • Gasoline composition analysis using GC (Gas Chromatography)

All results are interpreted and reported in accordance with relevant technical standards.
