Light-Heavy Hydrocarbon

Hydrocarbons are organic compounds consisting of carbon and hydrogen, most of which are found in crude oil. Hydrocarbons are divided into two categories: aliphatic and aromatic. For the production of hydrocarbons, after separating salts and acids from crude oil, hydrocarbons are refined into two categories: light and heavy. The light and heavy hydrocarbons resulting from blending are merely commercial names, generally achieved by combining specific materials until the desired specifications are met. Additionally, these hydrocarbons can be considered as one of the mid-distillate refinery fuels with a boiling range of 150 to 400°C.
